Is it too late to book a rental for this weekend?
Pickup orders are available until the day of the event if desired! Our online booking system has an automatic cut-off date for postal orders two days before the event, but if you send us a message on Instagram, we can accommodate any last-minute pickup orders! We recommend booking by Wednesday at 1pm for Saturday postal rentals and Tuesday evening for Friday night postal rentals!
How long do I get the garment for?
A rental covers you from the time the garment arrives or is picked up until the night of the event, and it must be returned the following working day! If you want to hire a garment for an extended period of time (going away, travelling, etc.), please contact us and we will be more than happy to work something out!
Am I able to try a garment on before I rent it?
Yes! We offer both in person (North Dunedin currently, southland based over the summer) and postal try on's. Please see here for everything you need to know about both of these services.
When will my rental be posted / arrive?
Your rental will usually arrive one to four days before your event. It will be posted no later than two days before your event, giving you plenty of time for the parcel to arrive via overnight courier. Once the garment has been posted, you will receive an email with the tracking number.
What happens if my rental doesn't arrive in time?
All of our parcels are sent with overnight courier multiple days before your event to avoid this happening. Unfortunately, delays can occur, which is beyond our control, so no refund will be issued. We do everything we can to get your rental out the door on time, so if this occurs, please contact us and we will assist you in contacting NZ Post to determine the next steps. What if my garment doesn't fit me when it arrives?
Unfortunately, we can not provide refunds if the garment does not fit or look right. To try to eliminate this issue, we offer in-person or postal try ons; click here for more information on how these work. Please follow the recommended size guides supplied & if you have any more sizing or fit questions contact us via email or Instagram, we will happily send you further photographs or measurements of any garments. Also, take a look at the customer photos offered with most rentals to see how it may appear off the model.
Should I wash the rental / what if I have damaged the garment?
Please return the dress as is, and do not attempt to clean or repair it yourself; our prices include all cleaning costs. Excessive stains or damage (such as rips, blood, etc.; fake tan is acceptable) may result in an additional cleaning fee if dry cleaning or dressmaking services are required.
We’d rather receive a message informing us of the damage and we will be super considerate than having a garment damaged as a result of incorrect washing or mending. We do, however, provide a damage waiver, which you can learn more about here; please also read our full terms and conditions for additional information. If the dress is returned in unrentable condition, you will be required to pay the full RRP of the garment, but this has only been the case in rare occasions.
What does the damage waiver include?
The Damage Waiver protects you against any stains or damage! Even if the garment is completely ruined, you are still covered; learn more about it here.
Can I cancel my rental?
If you cancel your order within 24 hours of making the booking, you will receive a full refund (providing the rental has not been posted or picked up by you within this timeframe). After the 24-hour period, only a store credit of the same value will be issued.
